What services do you offer?
I offer many different portrait services. Seniors, families, couples, and maternity. In 2025, I expanded to Equine photography as well.
Commercially, I offer real estate and product photography. Portfolios of each can be requested via ashsaperture@gmail.com
How long is a session typically?
I I generally photograph for around one hour. However, I tailor the time frame to each session as needed. Family sessions with little kiddos tend to benefit from 45 minutes. Senior sessions with multiple outfits and locations need longer. As long as everyone is having fun and we are getting good images, I keep pressing the button!
How many photos are included?
Last year, my portrait clients received a gallery of 55 images. I also add a second gallery of Black and White photos that are not included in that number. I strive to include as many high quality images as possible.
How do I book with you?
Simply reach out! Text/call/email me! We will find the right date, location, and time for your session together. I strive to make the process easy and painless!
What about weather delays?
Weather happens. If the situation is unsafe for you or your family I will happy reschedule to a date and time that works for both of us!
What is your posing philosophy?
I combine traditional posing with a modern, authentic, and candid approach. To the maximum extent possible, I try to be a fly on the wall while you and your family/significant other interact with each other, naturally. However, everyone loves a well posed image smiling at the camera as well.
How quickly do I receive my images?
21-28 days depending on how large of a gallery and the time of the year. I work hard to beat those turnaround times. If you need them sooner, please let me know and I can work to accomodate you.
Do you have location suggestions?
Yes! I have lots of beautiful locations that can be used the in DSM Metro. I have a guide that I can send that offers plenty of indoor/outdoor location examples.
What is the best time for a session?
The best time depends on your family and schedule! However, the hour leading up to sunset and the hour right after sunrise are some of the best light available.
If you want an indoor session, it can happen at almost anytime.
